Growing & developing underprivileged Children through Music, Art, Dance & Drama.
The Gap Foundation is a non-profit organisation that aims to develop underprivileged and economically disadvantaged children, who show natural talent or gifting in the areas of the creative arts ie.
Music, Art, Dance & Drama.
The Gap Foundation operates combining the following 3 facets of the organisation.
1 The children who are identified & accepted into one of the Gap programmes.
2.Established teachers & organisations who provide the training, teaching, guidance and facilities in order to develop the children, to reach their true potential.
3. The foundations day to day management & organisation, facilitation of students,
teachers & funder organisations.
I became aware of the huge need in poorer communities to find a way to bridge the GAP between children with obvious talent, and fulfilling their dreams and aspirations. Without outside assistance, the chances of this happening are very slim.
We would love to see 30 children enrolled in the GAP in the next 12 months. All learning & growing in their talents and developing as happy well rounded children, able to look to the future with hope and excitement
We will be planning a concert and exhibition for the end of the year. This function will be the highlight of the MAD GAP year.
" I would teach children music, physics & philosophy, but most importantly MUSIC for the patterns in music & all the Arts are the keys to learning " -Plato-
For many children, the MAD GAP is a place where they experience acceptance, love encouragement and a sence of belonging. Faith Maloi - Youth Development Gauteng
